If you aren’t living a compelling story you’ll be captured by a lesser one. The story you are living is much bigger than you. You’re just a tree. The story of the forest is the compelling story.
What story are you living?

That’s an interesting way of putting it. I don’t want to live the story of someone who worked to put food in their mouth and then retire. I long to live a story greater than myself.
Through Him we get to live that story, His story, and be formed by it everyday. Thanks Loren.
I love Donald Miller and I love the idea of “story”. I’m living in His story, not mine.
Amen, Charlie. Thank you.
So the glad the story is bigger than me. I am a part of an eternal glory that all belongs to Him. Simple and profound way to say this, Ryan. Thanks.
I’m glad too, Jason! It’s an eternal story with eternal glory.
This reminds me of something I heard a few years ago:
You can’t say no to anything until you first said yes to something else.
It’s a quote I’m challenged by in living a better story. Until I have said yes to a story greater than myself, I can’t say no to lesser stories. Great post, Ryan.
Right on! Great input, thanks for sharing.
So thankful my story has been rewritten by a epic loving God who has given me life more abundantly!
